Renovated Stone Farmhouse Before Tour Part 2

Follow along as we tour this gorgeously renovated stone farmhouse that dates back to 18th century, and how my love for old-world charm and all things French Country began with this stony piece of history.

Now to the inside of the house!

Remember the original log house? Here is the fireplace from 1763. George Washington was President when the owners baked bread in here.

My mom in her bedroom.

Again my mom’s bedroom. That’s a closet that has just been framed out.

My uncle taking his turn at the tedious job of plaster removal. I have been there!

What would be the formal living room with door way to hall on the right and door to formal dining room on the left.

On the wall beyond the right door in the picture above my grandparents found this written on the plaster. They were writing on the walls in 1827! My grandfather had it framed and put plexi-glass over it to preserve it, and it can still be seen there today!

These were the stairs leading down to the basement of the main house. My grandfather left the wooden slats exposed and hung old tools on them.
