I know what you are thinking.
Eating dessert does not improve fat loss and somehow I will manage to put a fancy spin on this post.
But the truth?
There is no spin.
The fact is that numerous research studies have shown a relationship between food deprivation and poor long term results. In this study participants who ate dessert lost 15 MORE pounds long term than those who did not!
And it does not require a rocket scientist to figure out why.
What happens when you tell a child that they may have any snack in the cupboard EXCEPT for the goldfish?
Human nature demands the goldfish.
Maybe that it is only the nature of my three mini-humans, but the point is that living life in a state of an all or nothing mentality is not sustainable and eventually the honeymoon phase of immediate results fades away and old habits resume.
