It’s the weekend! Grab your cuppa jo, and join me for a review of the week and some fun in the sun including a deck workout at the beach.
Can you hear that? It’s the sound of the waves crashing onto the shore. The birds chirping in the trees. The thump, thump, thump of bicyclists over the wooden plank boardwalk.
Zach and I have been enjoying the early morning sounds of the beach on the front porch this week.
With the exception of two cloudy, cold days our weather this week has been phenomenal.
We are here at the beach for two weeks with our families, and this first week has been with Zach’s family and then next week my family will come.
Our kiddos might never want to come back, and one thing is for sure, I’m not sure a week at the beach will ever be enough again. It has been lovely settling in here with the sounds and smells of the ocean every day.
This little man does not stop moving for a minute on the beach.
This girl. Notice the seams on her dress? She actually TRIES to wear her dresses inside out and backward now and will not let you change it without a battle. And that is a battle not worth fighting.
One of my go-to workouts while traveling or on vacation is a deck workout. My sister, her boyfriend, and I did a deck workout on the porch, and then I found Caleb doing it later. Ha. You can screenshot the last image to save it for later or just save this post for this no-equipment deck workout!
It includes going through one deck of cards (aces are 1 rep or 14 reps – your call), jacks are 11, queens are 12 reps, and kings are 13 reps).
