Coffee & Conversation
It’s the weekend! PTL!
Grab a cup of coffee. Wrap yourself in a blanket. And let’s take a look at the week in review including some of my favorite finds…

Happy Saturday friends!
Um, what a week.

The kids went back to school on Tuesday ( I shared all the fun pics and my annual kiddo Q&A HERE), but then they had an early dismissal the next day due to a flood watch.

Praying that this one doesn’t give her teachers TOO much trouble this year.

This little guy wrote the sweetest letter to his new class this week. It made me laugh and cry in the span of 30 seconds. I shared it here. I hope it makes your heart smile like it did mine.

Who loves charctuerie?
I do, but I always think it would be nice to have a master food list with serving suggestions and assembly instructions all in one place.
So I compiled the Ultimate Guide To DIY Charcuterie. You will definitely want to save this one for later!
Be sure to let me know in the post comments if you would add anything else to the list.

I had a moment seeing this little cutie all dressed up in her ballerina gear for the first time. Gear? Clothes? Outfit?
Clearly new to the dance mom lingo 🙂

Lily wears this little cheerleading costume on repeat. It was given to her by our neighbor girl which I love, except for the fact that it makes her look dangerously like a Cowboys fan. #flyeaglesfly

We are celebrating this little man and his 7th birthday all week long!
The other day we were answering the question, “If you could choose one symbol to represent yourself, what would it be.”
We heard things like sunshine, a lollipop, ice cream, the beach…
Caleb’s answer?
“A 1st place trophy.”
I died.
He is his father’s son.
As we celebrate Caleb’s 7th year of life this week I never cease to be amazed at the walking dichotomy that is Caleb.
He’s as bold and confident as he is gentle and sweet.
He reads chapter books before bed and forgets his jacket goes on before the backpack in the morning.

He will shrug off road rash from a bike fall, but mourn the end of the world if his ketchup is put in the wrong plate section.
He will ask a question like why does God let some kids die and others live, and in the same breath ask if his baby brother will know how to pee standing up (not sure how he thinks they do it in Samoa).
Caleb, 7 years later you still make me laugh the hardest and grit my teeth the most. You are precious. And you are loved.
Happy 7th birthday sweet boy.
Now let’s take a look at some of my favorite finds from fellow bloggers this week!

This Zucchini and Tomato Gratin is full of summer’s fresh, firm zucchinis and tomatoes sliced and topped with cheese – the perfect side dish or even main entree.
Perfect for back-to-school, I love this roundup of easy grab-and-go school lunchbox ideas that are healthy, fast, and filling.

This Fall Hoop Wreath looks like a great first fall project for the upcoming season.
One of the most common issues when figuring out how to declutter is deciding how to declutter with kids, and this list is super helpful!

This Strawberry Feta Tossed Salad with Pesto Vinaigrette looks so easy to make and has limited ingredients that can be prepped ahead of time.
As the summer comes to an end, I love the idea of this date night late summer picnic! So simple, but romantic and special too.

Nothing says Fall more than a decorated Farmhouse front porch, decked out with mums, pumpkins and cozy pillows.

Fall also means all the apple recipes, and I love this simple Apple Dip Recipe Sweetened with Coconut Sugar.
Have an amazing weekend friends!
