Happy FASTer Way Friday!!!
My FASTer Way to Fat Loss clients are learning how to enjoy food like they never have before while burning fat and powering effective exercises in order to live WELL!
In the 6 week program we pull a hard left and encourage diary free and gluten free nutrition as many clients have a food sensitivity to one of these two food elements and don’t know it.
After the 6 weeks many clients choose to reintroduce diary and/or gluten into their diet, and we do that carefully and intinetionally in the VIP program.
However for 6 weeks it it a huge overhaul, and I am on a mission to create lots of delicious and nutritious dairy free/gluten free recipes for them to enjoy because food was meant to be enjoyed!
So let me introduce you to my new friend – the Tuna Pesto Flatbread.

She is gluten free, diary free and low carb.
And she is delicious.
Our family has trialed this recipe several times now, and I actually enjoy it MORE than my cheddar tuna melts on traditional bread!
For those of you not intolerant to lactose, add a couple slices of cheddar cheese on top and broil for 2 minutes prior to serving.

CREAMY TUNA PESTO FLATBREAD RECIPE













Creamy Tuna Pesto Flatbread
Ingredients
Creamy Tuna Mix
- 1/3 c mayonnaise
- 2 cans of tuna, drained
- 1 T sugar
- 1 T apple cider vinegar
Pesto (courtesy of www.ThrivingHome.com) – Will need 2T or 2 cubes for this recipe.
- 2/3 c olive oil
- 2 c fresh basil
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/2 c Parmesan cheese, grated (eliminate for DF)
Flatbread
- 1 cauliflower pizza crust
Instructions
- Bake the cauliflower crust in the oven according to the box directions.
- Mix the creamy tuna ingredients together in a bowl. Set aside.
- Blend the pesto ingredients in a food processor and pour into a ice cube tray.
- Freeze and then bag the individual cubes and store in the freezer. 1 cube = 2 T.
- Spread 2 cubes or 4T pesto onto the baked cauliflower crust.
- Spread the tuna mix over the pesto.
- Slice and enjoy.
- (Optional: Add slices of sharp cheddar cheese on top and broil in the oven for 2 minutes)
