Healthy Meal Plan #73
Happy meal plan Monday! We are officially moved out of our French Country Cottage fixer-upper and moved into our “new” home!
In case you are wondering why you are reading this post at bedtime instead of breakfast, it’s because we are living in a house without any wifi at the moment.
We missed the fact that it was going to take several days to set up cable, so needless to say I have had to get creative with my time and am finally able to pound out my work on the world wide web while sitting in a parking lot sipping decaf coffee waiting for Gracie to finish dance and acting.
No, this weekend party was not in celebration of us finally moving into our rental home. It was the kid’s annual school carnival.
They had all kinds of bouncy castles.
And games they could win coins to “buy” prizes (ie: more junk for me to “accidentally throw away” in a week).
They even had a magic show, and LIly got to be a helper. It was so cute!
Gracie has already reached the age that we saw her for all of 5 minutes in between playing with her friends. #sendhelp
Caleb was all in on the games. I cannot believe this sweet boy is going into 2nd grade!
Real-life family picture right here – Gracie looking like the queen she is, Half of Caleb’s dimpled smile with a hand covering said queen’s face because he never stops moving. And Lily being a booger because she can.
We put these kids to work come moving day!
And these kids too. Zach’s cousin – dating my sister – trusting each other to hold up a mirror that could kill a man. Good things are happening here. Decoratively and relationally speaking.
This dresser isn’t going to fall and kill a man, but moving it might make you want to kill a man.
Chris is a true friend. Not only has he helped us every single time we have moved houses, but he still hasn’t disowned me for decorating with the heaviest furniture known to mankind
We love you, Chris! There will be a special place in Heaven for you one day, 🙂
So grateful to my father-in-law (the one waving) for painting! I have been anxious to see what Polar Bear by Sherwin Williams looks like, and YOU GUYS, I have found my go-to yellow.
It is PERFECTION.
I will show it to you soon. Right now you would barely be able to see it past the stacked boxes and scattered furniture.
Let’s just say its place on our French Country home color palette has been solidified.
And then there’s my dad waving! (Both of them did this whole waving thing spontaneously, by the way).
We are counting our many blessings that his most recent heart catheterization went well. As many of you know we have a significant heart history in our family and even though dad is only a year or so post his second open heart surgery he was back in for another heart catheterization. Here he is a day later.
Feeling grateful right now for our families, decaf coffee, and McDonald’s free wifi.
