Happy Monday, friends!
Whew, what a week. We spent Monday night with my family who was visiting from Chicago.
Tuesday our kids had a sleepover at MomMom and PopPop’s house.
Wednesday evening we celebrated my S.I.L.’s birthday with what has become our traditional picnic and kayaking at our local lake.
Thursday we had dinner with a family from our Sunday School class.
Friday Gracie wrapped up a performing arts summer camp with her final showcase (we highly recommend CAVOD if you are local)!
She absolutely loved camp. We signed her up for acting 1 and ballet 1 this school year. I am excited to watch her grow on the stage as it was always a happy place for me too!
Zach was at football camp all weekend (is it fall yet?!?!), so the kiddos and I spent Saturday playing together, and then we ended the day at Refreshing Mountain Retreat with their ropes course and the pool (also highly recommended if you are local)!
There is my mom, myself, and Caleb! 3 generations 55 ft high in the sky.
Then last night we wrapped up the week with a Sunday School class pool party.
This week will be a little more low-key as I prepare for the national DIY/home decor Haven Conference in Atlanta Thursday – Sunday.
Last year was virtual, and I am super excited to go in person this year!! Of all the niches in the blogging market, there is not a more supportive group of people than the DIY/home decor community.
I’m excited to share more about the conference, and I will do a fun review post afterwards.
But in the meantime, the family needs to eat!
This week on the menu we have:
- Z’s Spicy Baked Chicken & Veggies
- Egg Roll in a Bowl
- Slow Cooker Chicken and Veggies Marinara
- Cheesy Cauliflower Tuna Casserole
- Honeyed Ham Flatbread
