We have this area in the upstairs hallway that we have a little dresser of drawers, and it sits right across from our bathroom door. Inevitably we run into it every night. Also, the are in that stage where everyone needs a night light, but in this little old house there isn’t an outlet in the hallway.
SO . . . get ready to learn an easy hack to make a night light without electricity. While I was at it I also did a little makeover 😉
How to make a night light without electricity
You Will Need:
- Fine sand paper to rough up the surface for better adherence (for plastic, wood, even metal)
- White spray paint (the base color needs to be white for the glow in the dark spray to shine)
- Glow in the dark spray paint
How to Make a Night Light Without Electricity
#1. Lightly sand the surface of your piece. Dust or vacuum off. Tape as needed for the paint.

#2. Spray 2 coats (drying in between) with the white spray paint.
