Happy meal planning Monday! Enjoy this week’s healthy recipes and 4 gift wrapping hacks to make your holiday gifts extra special and simple to wrap.
Wrapping presents can be a lot of fun, but it also can feel overwhelming and time-consuming (especially if you are a last-minute wrapper!) I’ve rounded up my favorite gift-wrapping hacks to make the whole experience a breeze.
Use one pattern or color for each family member
To save time and confusion, use one type of wrapping paper for each member of the family. This is an easy way to visually see which gifts go where, and it also keeps sneaky kids from guessing what their presents are. If they happen to stumble upon their wrapped gifts in hiding, they won’t know which ones are theirs!
Use brown paper grocery bags
If you run out of wrapping paper or just have some grocery bags to recycle, use them to wrap gifts. Many times, grocery stores have holiday designs on their bags during this time of the year – but you can also dress them up with festive greenery, twine, or have your kids decorate them.
Buy your gift-wrapping supplies AFTER the holiday
Nothing beats those after-holiday sales on gift wrap, bows, tape, and more! You can easily snag this stuff for 70% off. Stock up on everything you need for the following year – then when the holidays roll back around, you’ll have everything you need and won’t have to run out and grab it.
Use slap bracelets when storing your wrapping paper
If you’re frustrated by your wrapping paper unrolling, use a slap bracelet to keep it neat and contained. They won’t scuff or tear the wrapping paper and they are super easy to put on and take off.
