Orange Glazed Scones Recipe
Scones started once upon a time as a Scottish quick bread and have been enjoyed with “afternoon tea” in British culture for many years. Scones are tricky though, and there are many different versions. So I did some research which included reaching out to friends from Scotland (thanks Duncans!), and my friend Stuart sent me a couple recipes. After multiple attempts and changing up lots of ingredients I have landed on THE. BEST. SCONE. RECIPE.
Grab a hot cup of coffee, and enjoy this version with the creamy sweetness of the orange glaze (glaze courtesy of Magnolia Table Cookbook)!

A couple tips when making scones.
- The butter must be cold.
- Use a GoodCook Chopper to cut the butter into the dough.
- Hand mix.
- Do not over mix!

For a perfect “pizza pie” shape press each dough ball into a floured 8″ round cake pan and then dump the flattened round dough onto the baking sheet. I don’t. I just make a flat round with my hands.
