We love hosting large groups of people. It is harder to do in a rental house where your furniture is shoved into corners at random, but when I had the space to host large drop-in parties there were anywhere from 50-100 people. One of my go-to food spreads for such events (like a Superbowl party!) is a meatball bar with several slow cooker meatball recipes.
Line your kitchen island or countertop with slow cooker recipes because it makes for the easiest party planning and clean-up. I have 3 slow cookers (you can never have too many), and they are the express reason I added extra outlets to every kitchen island I redesigned.

Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour Meatballs
Equipment
- Slow Cooker
Ingredients
- 3 lb frozen meatballs
- 24 oz grape jelly
- 14 oz Date Lady Sweet Chili Sauce
- 1/3 c Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Add jelly, chili sauce and Worcestershire sauce to the bottom of a slow cooker and mix.
- Add the meatballs and coat thoroughly.
- Cook on low for 6 hours.
Freezing Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker liner and freeze. Thaw overnight in fridge and cook according to directions.
